The Ford Focus is a compact car, which was designed and manufactured by Ford motor company. The market introduction in Europe took place in autumn of 1998, in North and South America in spring of 2000 and in Australia in September of 2002. In most countries the Focus was the successor to the Ford Escort, in Asia and Australia he replaced the Ford Laser.
It was the worlds bestselling car in 2000 and 2001. In autumn of 2004 the second generation was introduced in Europe, in the US it was introduced in autumn of 2007. In April of 2011 the third generation was introduced in Europe, the US and Asia at the same time. More than 1.000.000 units were sold in 2012 and 2013 and made the Focus the Worlds best seller again. The production takes place in Saarlouis (Germany) Almussafes (Spain), Wsewoloschsk (Russia), Hermosillo (Mexico), General Pacheco (Argentina) and Wayne (Michigan) in the US.
