Wirral L19 Empress of Japan, a Canadian Pacific Liner, 1930 1/1200
Empress of Japan is a second-hand 1/1200 resin model made and painted by Les Hodder of Wirral Miniature Ships from a Len Jordan casting. Empress of Japan was a Canadian Pacific liner used originally in the Pacific. During WW2, her name was changed to Empress of Scotland and she was used as a troopship. She was probably the best looking 3-funnel liner ever but after the war, she became the liner, Hanseatic with a raked stem and two funnels replacing the original three. A 1/1250 scale model of Hanseatic by CM is available from Antics.
