Oxford Rail OO SR 3520 ex-LSWR Adams 4-4-2T Radial Tank Southern Maunsell Green DCC & Sound OR76AR006XS

Oxford Rail OR76AR006XS OO Gauge Southern Railway 3250 ex-LSWR Class 415 Adams Radial 4-4-2T SR ex-LSWR Olive Green Livery. DCC and Sound Fitted

A DCC and Sound fitted version of Oxford Rails' detailed LSWR 415 class 'Adams Radial' 4-4-2 tank engine model.
These classic British locomotives were built from 1882 for suburban services along the LSWR lines from London. Displaced by larger locomotives the radials found new homes on country branchlines, the last three of the class still working the Lyme Regis branch until 1962.

This model is finished as Southern Railway 3250 painted in the LSWR Urie olive green livery with Southern lettering.

Hornby OO Network Rail 08417 Class 08 0-6-0 Diesel Shunting Engine Engineers Yellow R3261

Hornby OO Network Rail 08417 Class 08 0-6-0 Diesel Shunting Engine Engineers Yellow R3261
The Class 08, 0-6-0 diesel electric shunter which was based on the prototype LMS designs, became British Railways largest fleet of locomotives. These locomotives were constructed between 1953 and 1962 at Crewe, Darlington, Derby and Doncaster.

The class has a single cab at the No.1 end and a front section that houses the power unit, generator and control equipment. Class 08 shunters are powered by an English Electric 350hp, 6KT engine and have a maximum speed of 15 ? 20mph. The class once numbered in excess of 1,000 with approximately 300 remaining in service today and still represents the mainstay of the UKs shunting power.

The standard Class 08 locomotives are in operation in most if not all areas of the UK and are expected to remain in service for many years to come. They are employed mainly as shunting units in marshalling yards and shunting depots but are also used occasionally for short trip workings. Built at the Derby Works and outshopped on the 4 July 1958, 08 417 was originally numbered D3532 but was changed to its current number on the 31 December 1973. The locomotive is currently based at the Serco Railtest/AEA Technology Derby RTC.

Dapol OO Wm. Butler, Tar Distillers of Bristol Rectangular Tank Wagon 4F-032-015

Dapol OO Wm. Butler, Tar Distillers of Bristol Rectangular Tank Wagon No.73 4F-032-015
Wm. Butlers' tar tankers are well-known, a photograph of one frequently being used to illustrate the rectangular tank wagon design.
These tank wagons were used to collect coal tar, a by-product of coal gas production, for refining to extract more useful petro-chemical products. Butlers' operated works in the cities of Bristol and Gloucester and these tar wagons would have travelled widely across the west of England, West Midlands and Welsh borders to collect raw materials from town gas companies to supply the refining plants.
The Butler company originated in the GWR broad gauge era, Mr Butler being appointed by Mr Brunel to run the GWRs' timber treatment plant in Bristol. Later Mr Butler formed his own company, taking over the Bristol works and the company is still operating today as suppliers of industrial oil products like heating oil.

Peco OO Pack of 8 ST-220 1st Radius Standard Curves ST-2020

Peco OO Pack of 8 ST-220 1st Radius Standard Curves ST-2020
Pack of 8 standard curve at number 1 radius, 371mm (14 5/8in). 22.5 degree curve, This will form a half-circle.
Equivalent to Hornby R604 standard No.1 radius track.
No.1 radius at 14 5/8in is the sharpest radius available in the OO track range and the sharpest radius which smaller OO model trains can be expected to travel round without derailing. Note that many large models, including large steam and diesel locomotives, modern passenger coaches and long wagons will not successfully negotiate a curve this sharp. We recommend using small locomotives and traditional short 4-wheel wagons on no.1 radius circuits.

Peco track uses durable and corrosion resistant nickel-silver rail for long lasting performance. Peco Setrack track sections are fully compatable with Hornby and Bachmann track and are supplied with fishplates already fitted at both ends, ready for attachment to other track sections.

Peco O GWR Spear Fencing, Ramp Panels, Gates and Posts LK-742

Peco O GWR Spear Fencing, Ramp Panels, Gates and Posts LK-742
Based on a typical GWR design, this style of fencing was of course relatively common in many places, being found alongside the platform, around the goods yard, engine shed and station entrance, as well as in many other non-railway settings. So the opportunities for the modeller to use this fencing on their layout will be wide and varied.
The mouldings are extremely fine and sharp, and the distinctive angled four-sided profile of the separate "spears" have been perfectly replicated. All components are moulded in black plastic and so can be left as they are, or painted if required. Careful modellers will easily be able to hang the gates on their hinges so that they can swing open. The spear tip of the fencing is true to the prototype and as a result the finished model will add plenty of character to any scene.
Contains 20 ramp panels, total length 890mm, 35 inches, plus 1 large and 2 small gates

Little Loco Company O Gauge BR BTH Class 15 Bo-Bo Single Cab Diesel Loco British Railways Green Duck-Egg Blue Cab Fronts Yellow Warning Panels BTH15-GDS

Little Loco Company O Gauge BTH15-GDS BR Class 15 Bo-Bo Single Cab Diesel Loco British Railways Green with duck-egg blue cab fronts and yellow warning panels.
This model will be finished in BR green livery with small yellow warning panels on the nose ends and retaining the duck-egg blue cab fronts.

A new and highly detailed model of the British Railways BTH Type 1 locomotives with a number of new features, hopefully to include working (ie folding) headcode discs!
The off-centre cab design 800bhp class 15 was intended for branchline 'pick-up goods' service, mostly working around North/East London and into East Anglia, making the locomotive a good choice for small O gauge layouts with urban or country settings.

This model has been designed to incorporate a central motor with drive to both bogies contained within a heavy diecast chassis while still maintaining space in the cab area to permit a full interior to be fitted. The models will be PluX22 compliant, with a speaker pre-installed.
Little Loco Company Ltd. produces high quality, accurate 1:43 scale models of locomotives and wagons with the objective of making sizable donations to organisations working to preserve the real locomotives and wagons. The BTH class 15 model is being produced in cooperation with the Class 15 Preservation Society, allowing full access to the societys' archives and the real locomotive to check bodyshell details.
DCC Ready. Plux22 decoder required.

Graham Farish N BR 5041 Tiverton Castle Castle ex-GWR Class 4-6-0 BR Lined Green Early Emblem 372-031
Graham Farish 372-031 Castle Class 5041 'Tiverton Castle' BR Green Early Emblem
A new model of the Great Western Castle class express passenger locomotives.

The Graham Farish Castle is to be completely retooled, creating a detailed, fine scale replica of these powerful express passenger engines. A number of options are being designed into the new tools, providing for single or double chimney and other fittings and detail differences.
The GWR Castles were a true landmark locomotive, among the most powerful and efficient locomotives in Britain during the 1920s and incorporating the full development of G J Churchwards' engineering vision. Both the LMS and Southern built express passenger engines based on Castle specifications, while Gresley pacifics were re-designed to incorporate the findings of comparative trials.
Equally at home on express passenger or fast milk and goods trains 171 locomotives were built between 1923 and 1950, serving until the end of steam on the Western.

This model of 5041 Tiverton Castle is painted in the full British Railways lined green express passenger livery with early lion over wheel emblem. Note this is change to the details originally listed in the catalogue.
Era 4 1948-1956. NEM coupler pockets. DCC Ready 6 pin decoder required for DCC operation.

Dapol N Gauge GWR 5764 57xx 0-6-0 Pannier Tank Green Lettered Great Western 2S-007-012

A well detailed model of a very well-known locomotive, number 5764. Having worked for the GWR (19 years), BR (12 years) and London Transport (11 years) 5764 has been a stalwart of the Severn Valley Railway motive power fleet for over 40 years!

The Dapol model is a highly detailed replica of the GWR 57xx class pannier tanks, powered by a smooth running motor which delivers good performance at shunting and branchline train speeds.

This model of 5764 is painted in the pre-1934 GWR livery, lettered Great Western, the livery which 5764 would have been painted when built and has most regularly carried in preservation.

Dapol O Gauge BR 32636 A1X Class Terrier 0-6-0T BR Lined Black Late Crest 7S-010-011

Dapol O Gauge BR(SR) 32636 A1X Class Terrier 0-6-0T Lined Black Late Crest 7S-010-011

Presented in the later and quite attractive BR lined black livery 32636 is better known as the Bluebell Railways' No.72 Fenchurch. This locomotive has the most remarkable history of all, being the first of the class to enter service in September 1872 and among the last Terriers withdrawn from British Railways service on the closure of the Hayling Island branch in September 1963  It seemed most improbable that 72 Fenchurhc would become BR oldest operational steam locomotive when she was sold as surplus in 1898 to the Newhaven Harbour Company, but following a rebuild to A1X specifications 72 returned to 'mainline' company ownership when the Southern Railway took over shunting around Newhaven harbour in 1926. Instead of regaining number 72 Fenchurch was given the first available number in the A1X series, then 636, later 2636 and finally after nationalisation 32636.
Along with her sister engines from the end of the Hayling Island line 32636 was purchased for preservation by the Bluebell Railway and has put in many years of service on Britains first standard gauge heritage railway.

Created from a detailed laser-scan of sister Island Terrier W8 Freshwater on the Isle of Wight steam railway a great deal of attention has been applied to the detail changes made to these engines over their long lives. The tooling design allows for both the original A1 (with smokebox 'wings') and later reboilered A1X class (with longer smokebox) will be modelled as appropriate for each locomotive. The cab has been kept completely unobstructed, allowing full internal detailing, ready for the crew to board!
In additon to the cast chassis the running plate and wheels are being diecast to increase the weight while a skew-wound 5 pole motor is being installed to provide smooth torque at low speeds.

DCC Ready - 21 pin decoder required for DCC operation. A DCC and Sound model will also be available.

Hornby Railways R4763 BR ex-GWR Collett Bow Ended 57' Corridor 3rd Class Coach BR Maroon
Collett 'Bow Ended' Standard 57' Corridor Stock
When Charles Collett became Chief Mechanical Officer of the Great Western Railway in 1922, one of his priorities was to modernise the GWR?s fleet of ageing, yet distinctive ?Toplight? coaching stock. His resulting ?bow-ended? design went on to become the basic GWR design for almost 30 years and from 1925, until the late summer of 1929, the steel panelled, oak framed bow-ended coach, with inset windows, high waist and clean exterior, was applied to 57? coach bodies on newly developed 7? single bolster bogies.
On entering traffic in 1925, six coach sets were formed from Lot Nos. 1351-53, comprising Corridor Thirds from diagram C54, left and right handed 4 compartment Corridor Brake Thirds from diagram D95 and left and right handed Corridor Composites from diagram E127. Over the following four years, further Lot numbers of these diagrams were produced, along with an additional eight different diagrams and the design became the first choice for the important Express Trains, including the Cheltenham Spa Express and Bristolian, until the late 1930s. Many of these coaches survived in general service until 1961, being withdrawn completely by early 1963, with several managing to escape scrapping when they were converted for departmental use during the early 1960s.

Bachmann OO LNWR 1054 Webb 0-6-2T Coal Tank LNWR Plain Black Livery 35-050
Bachmann Branchline OO 35-050 LNWR 1054 Webb 0-6-2 Coal Tank locomotive, LNWR black livery.
Sole preserved example of this class.

The LNWR built 300 'Coal Tank' 0-6-2 locos between 1881 and 1897, with 64 reaching British Railways in 1948. These engines represent a signature LNWR locomotive design which saw service across a wide area, from the far North West of England to the Black Country and South Wales. The Coal Tanks undertook the traditional duties associated with branchline and pick-up goods services. This new model will make an excellent companion and alternative to the Midland 1F and 3F locos (also available from Bachmann) for these duties.

Designed by F.W.Webb in 1881 for the London and North Western Railway (LNWR) the 'Coal Tank' was a tank engine version of the LNWRs' standard 0-6-0+tender goods engines. The tank engine version utilised the same cast iron H spoke driving wheels with a radial trailing truck to support the coal bunker.

One locomotive, LNWR 1054, LMS 7799, BR 58926, was purchased from British Railways for preservation and is currently working on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
Era 2, pre-grouping. DCC and Sound Ready Next 18 decoder required for DCC operation, sound decoder and speaker required for sound operation.

Bachmann Branchline OO Gauge 32-376A BR Class 37/4 37422 Robert F. Fairlie BR Regional Railways Weathered
Anticipating many years of further service BR designed a refurbishment programme for class 37 locomotives in the 1980s, and a group of locomotives were equiped with Electric Train Supply (train heating) to work with Mk.2 and air-conditioned coaches as these were being cascaded to secondary routes. This group was allocated sub-class 37/4 and allocated to the Regional Railways locomotive pool, employed on services in, to and from Wales, the Welsh borders and in the Scotish highlands.
As passenger locomoitves many of the class received regional names. 37422, one of the wales allocated locomotives, was named Robert F Fairlie after the steam locomotive engineer whose design for a flexible bogie-mounted steam locomotive can be seen working today on the Festiniog Railway. This locomotive was one of the class which also received the Regional Railways blue and white stripe livery, similar to the livery designed for the new Sprinter multiple unit trains.
The Bachmann model features a heavy diecast chassis enclosing a centrally mounted motor with flywheels for smooth slow-speed running and shaft drive to both bogies, powering all six axles.
DCC Ready.

While many suburban coaches were built in sets the GWR also built some 'loose' coaches which could be used to strengthen (lengthen) trains at times of peak demand, or be formed into extra trains when required. The production of the brake third and composite coaches from the 4-coach sets as separate coaches permits other formations to be created, like a 2-coach brake third + composite formation, either as a separate train or an add-on to a set.

Bachmann Branchline OO Gauge 33-306D BR ex-GWR 20-Ton Toad Goods Guards' Brake Van BR Goods Grey Livery
A nicely detailed model of the standard GWR design of guard's brake van, with the distinctive large enclosed verandah painted in the British Railways goods grey livery.
The ex-GWR brake vans were gradually withdrawn from general use under BR ownership as the brake wheel was outside the cabin, but many continued in service on Western region anyway. This van is labelled as being allocated to Newton Abbott and being in restricted use (RU) on goods trains around it's South Devon depot.
Later the engineers found the enclosed verandahs to be most useful for the secure storage of tools etc, resulting the GWR vans being found all over the BR network well into the 1980s!

Peco OO Setrack Third Radius Starter/Expansion Track Pack ST-101
Peco OO ST-101 Setrack OO/HO 3rd Radius Starter Track Pack
This starter track pack contains sufficient track sections to construct an oval circuit, plus two points to allow sidings to be added. Supplied with 3rd radius curves the pack can be added to a Peco ST-100 track pack to form a second curcuit of track around the outside of the ST-100 track.
The two points supplied allow you to add sidings to your layout, or to form a crossover connection with another track curcuit.
Sidings let you shunt your trains, attach and detach wagons, or simply store one train while another train is running. The layout can be further expanded using Peco Setrack, or the similar sectional track from Hornby and Bachmann, all these ranges using the same rail and fishplate connectors.

Peco OO Code 75 Bullhead Rail Joiners SL-114

Peco OO Code 75 Bullhead Rail Joiners SL-114
Peco SL-114 OO Code 75 Bullhead Rail Joiners.

Following the release of the OO gauge Bullhead rail flexible track last Peco have created these these authentic rail joiners to complement the track. These shorter joiners (just over 5mm in length) have been designed to represent the prototypical arrangement of fishplates bolted onto either end of the rail sections being joined. The fishplates incorporate the bolt heads in fine detail and once the track has been laid, ballasted and weathered the effect will be very convincing.

Please note, when connecting the OO Bullhead track (SL-108F) to Flat Bottom rail code 75 track (SL-100F) the SL-110 joiners must be used. The Bullhead joiner will not work with flat bottom rail track.

Each pack contains 24 joiners.

Slaters Plasticard O BR Lowfit Wagon Kit 7069

Slaters Plasticard O BR Lowfit 7069
BR built a considerable number of these low-sided flat wagons, the type proving very useful for a number of loads, particularly loads on their own wheels. The low sides provides some retaining capability, but the Lowfit lacked lashing rings, so were not supposed to be loaded with containers. In service containers were often secured by ropes around the buffer stocks. Later many lowfits were converted to twin bolster sets with semi-permanent bar coulpings between two wagons.
This kit builds a detailed model of the standard design Lowfit, BR diagram 1/002.
Glue and paints are required to assemble and complete the model (not included)

Slaters Plasticard O SR 4 Wheel PLV/GUV 7C020

Slaters Plasticard O SR 4 Wheel PLV/GUV 7C020
The design of these vans originates with the South Eastern & Chatham Railway shortly before WW1 as passenger luggage vans. The type was adopted by the SR as a standard design after grouping, with the same basic body design being adapted with end doors as general utility vans (GUV). Later builds featured '2+2' planking using alternate pairs of broad and narrow planks, with construction continuing into the  early British Railways period. Widely known as 'Southern CCTs' (covered carriage trucks, even though most didn't have the end door features of the carriage truck) a significant number of these vans were still in use in 1980. Though most had been taken out of traffic by 1985 many survive today as useful tool and storage vans on heritage railways.
This kit builds the early even-planked design, the SECR vans lacking the side ventilators as shown, which are easily be added to model the SR built vans. The 2+2 planking can also be recreated by scribing the extra joints, refer to photos to pick the right planks to 'split'.
A kit for the BY van with guards' office is also available, Slaters 7C022. The BYs were the first vans built with the '2+2' planking style.

Slaters Plasticard O Gloucester & Charles Roberts Private Owner Wagon Kits Unpainted 7036

Detailed model kits for private owner open wagons built to the 1883 and 1907 RCH standards by the Gloucester RCW and Chrales Roberts companies.
The 6 plank design was built to the RCH 1883 standard and continued until newer standards were produced in 1923 when 7 planks became standard. The extra top plank(s) of the 6 and 7 plank wagons were usually continuous, providing added strength to the body, though sometimes a top flap door was fitted. Small coal merchants normally ordered wagons with side doors only, but collieries, coal factors (dealers), exporters and large coal consumers (eg. heavy industry and gas companies) usually ordered wagons with end doors to allow for rapid discharge by tipping.

Kit is available as
7035 6 plank wagon with side doors only, commonly used by private coal merchants
7036 6 plank wagon with side and end doors, usually ordered by collieries and large coal companies.

Also available at the same price kits:
7040 Charles Roberts 7 plank open wagon side doors RCH 1907 design
7041 Charles Roberts 7 plank open wagon side and end doors RCH 1907 design
7055 Gloucester 5 plank open china clay wagon with side & end doors
7058 Gloucester 7 plank open wagon side doors RCH 1887 design
7059 Gloucester 7 plank open wagon side and end doors 1887 design

Kits for the RCH 1923 design 7 and 8 plank wagons are listed separately here (link)

Slaters Plasticard O MR 10-Ton 4 Wheel Brake Van Kit 7032

Slaters Plasticard O MR 10-Ton 4 Wheel Brake Van Kit 7032
A model kit to build one of the Midland Railways' well known single verandah brake vans.
The kit builds a model of the early wood construction, wood underframe 10-ton type with a style familiar right to the end of steam. A considerable number of these vans were still in service at the grouping and a small number survived into British Railways ownership, though often with the engineering departments.
After 20-ton brake vans were built the Midland sold some of these 10-ton vans to other railways, particularly light railways and larger industrial operators. Examples passed into the ownership of the Southern (Isle of Wight Central) and Great Western (Brecon & Merthyr) at grouping.
These sales make the Midland brake van very useful to modellers building a 'freelance' layout to suit the space available. The small size is a bonus for small layouts, shunting the van onto the rear of a train can cause hours of extra puzzling.
Glue and paints are required to assemble and complete the model (not included)

Parkside Dundas O LNER Toad E 4-Wheel Goods Brake Van PS113

Parkside Dundas O LNER Toad E 4 Wheel Goods Brake Van PS113
A finely detailed plastic model kit building a model of the LNERs early 'short' type brake vans with pressed steel lookout duckets. These were the LNER standard design of brake van until the introduction of the longer 4-wheel chassis vans with central cabin which became familiar as the British Railways standard.
These short vans are very useful for builders of small O gauge layouts and for local pick-up goods trains.
The LNER introduced this brake van design C1925, being a general update of the previous NER design 15-foot wheelbase goods brake van with robust pressed steel lookout duckets replacing the older designs' wood planking. The LNER allocated the telegraphic code "TOAD E" to the new 'group standard' design, although it was generally similar to the older 'TOAD B'. These vans lasted in service well into the 1960s and a few could be found 'out of use' around the BR network in 1980, though possibly being used as mess vans.
All Parkside kits are made to a high standard, making the kits straightforward to assemble and add extra detail to (a guard figure is available from Springside, while Slaters offer castings for the handbrake and stove) accompanied by detailed instructions with assembly diagrams. Wheels, buffers, 3-link couplings and transfers for early and late LNER and BR ownership are included.
