Built as LB&SCR number 62 Martello in October 1875 and fitted with the superheated A1X boiler in 1912 this engine served the LBSC, SR and British Railways with numbers 62, 662, (SR) B661, 2661 and BR 32662 until sold in 1963 to Butlins for display at Ayr holiday camp.
In February 1971 32662 left Ayr for preservation as part of the the Bressingham collection where the engine has been restored to operation.
