The all-new engine, a 990 cc 4-cylinder V, supplies an incredible 232 HP. Thanks to exceptional teamwork, the signing of top-class riders L. Capirossi and T. Bayliss, and a Desmosedici that is both powerful and reliable, the new Ducati has been the real revelation of the season. A generous Capirossi has pulled out some unbelievable moments of pure sporting genius, even managing to snatch victory in the Catalonia G.P. To demonstrate the considerable competitiveness of his motorcycle Loris Capirossi also established, on the Mugello racetrack, an absolute speed record for this category of motorcycle, clocking up a breathtaking 330 Kph.
