Revell 1/9 MV Agusta 500cc 3 Cylinder Motorbike Kit (07935)
For many years Grand Prix events were dominated by MV Agusta which therefore became the very embodiment of Italian Grand Prix motorcycles. From the second half of the fifties to the mid sixties the World Championship titles in the half litre class were won by riders on their four-cylinder machine until in 1966 the all-conquering three-cylinder four-stroke machine was used for races in this class. Weighing only 118 kg this powerful three-cylinder Agusta produced 92 bhp at 13,500 rpm. The MV on which Giacomo Agostini wiped the floor with the competition topped 290 km/h. Between 1966 and 1972 he took the world title seven times in succession - up to then a unique run of wins in GP events. To this day no rider has succeeded in achieving this record.
