Excellent model in metal and wood of the Royal Horse Artillery quick firing field gun introduced in 1913. Used in great numbers in WW1, there was a particularly fierce engagement at Nery when an artilleryman won a VC. Withdrawn from frontline service in 1936 although some may have been used in exceptional circumstances.
For ceremonial purposes a battery of six guns is used at almost every royal occasion where a salute is fired - as at the Queen Mother's funeral. The guns are kept at St. John's Wood.
1/12 scale produces a good size model: 10.8" long, 6" wide, 4.5" high.
