Handbuilt English 2 Pounder Galloper Gun 1740 (HB/009)
One off wooden & metal model, made in the 1980's, of an early English horse drawn
artillery piece - introduced by Congreve as an attempt to keep artillery up with the
infantry. Gunners still had to walk until the introduction of the the limber, on which they
could ride.
With hand made leather harness work on the horse and mounted on a
wooden base, this is a very nice and totally unique model.
