Red Ryder was a popular American fictional cowboy created by Stephen Slesinger and drawn by
artist Fred Harman. Harman had created the Western adventure comic strip Bronc Peeler in
1933. The Red Ryder BB Gun, is? made by Daisy Outdoor Products and introduced in
1938. Based on the comic strip and later television and movie cowboy Red Ryder, the BB gun
is still in production despite the fact that the comic strip was cancelled in 1963, and it
is arguably the most famous BB gun in American history.
