| > Military > WBritain > Nelson | On the 21st October 1805 a British Fleet, commanded by Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, not only destroyed the combined fleets of France and Spain but with them Napoleon's dreams of invading Britain. The bi-centenary in 2005 was celebrated with a Fleet Review at Spithead and at the Festival of the Sea in Portsmouth.

Britain, William Britain or simply Britains have been producing toy soldiers and military miniatures since 1893 with attention to detail, quality and authenticity. Each 1/32nd scale (54mm / 2.25" tall) figure is cast out of metal and hand-painted to the highest possible standards. Their love affair became the talk of society and did him much harm. Devoted, they spent happy times at Nelson's house in Surrey, enjoying entertaining on a lavish scale.
