At Waterloo, Piper Kenneth MacKay of the 79th Cameron Highlanders from Tongue in Sutherland stepped forward of his Battalion to the front of the bayonets at Quatre Bras and played "Cogadh Na Sith" (War or Peace), a commonly used tune by all the regiments. MacKay stood in the face of the charging French cavalry of Bonaparte
