Bachmann OO BR 08011 Haversham Class 08 0-6-0 Diesel Shunter Green Late Crest Heritage Livery (32-118)

A special model of a heritage liveried locomotive, specially painted in a version of the BR green livery with embelishments!

08011 became the oldest working diesel locomotive on British Rail and was repainted by Bltchley depot into near-original green livery, retaining the wasp stripe ends and named Haversham. The locomotive was used in conjunction with the resignalling of the Chiltern line during March 1991, helping with the recovery of redundant signalling equipment for re-use on heritage railways and working down the Watlington branch. Due to having only vacuum train brakes 08011 was withdrawn in December 1991, remaining at Aylesbury until purchased for preservation on the Princes Risborough line. Haversham was handed over to the preservation society by John Nelson, director of Network Southeast at the Aylesbury Turbo open day in April 1992.

A detailed model featuring all of the embelishments of a celebrety 08 in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Eras 8 (1982-1994) & 9 (preserved). DCC Ready. Mini-size 8-pin decoder required due to limited space inside the bodyshell.
