Sound can really bring a model to life and the BR class 08 shunter is a key locomotive for most diesel era modellers.
Hornbys' model is the best detailed version of the 08 yet, with many variations possible to allow for the endless variations between locomoitves, many carrying fittings for specific duties. This model is painted in the BR Railfreight triple grey livery, first applied in the mid-1980s and still carried by some locomotives well into the privatisation era.
The detailed bodyshell is complemented by a powerful and low-geared drive, ideal for smooth, slow-speed shunting and giving a realistic top speed.
