 | Some bodyshells come pre-painted, whilst others are supplied clear, enabling peoples artistic talent to take over and customize the paintwork and decals to their own design. For those wishing to mask their own design may we suggest a good quality masking tape such as Tamiya Masking Tape. To prepare a bodyshell before painting, clean it thouroughly with warm soapy water followed by a good rinse and then allow it to dry completely. Clear polycarbonate bodyshells are designed to be painted on the inside giving a high gloss finish, certain finishes will require you to back them up with a further colour to enhance the effect. Always spray in a well ventilated warm area, holding the can about 12 inches from the body with thin sweeping coats, allowingto dry between coats, (usually dries in about 15 -20 minutes). Some bodyshells come with a clear protective film on the outside to prevent overspray, this will need to be removed later before applying any decals. Finally cut the body out using a good quality pair of curved scissors, whilst to make the body post holes use a tapered reamer or drill. | | The Royal Mail will not deliver pressurised canisters so spray paints are sent by courier service and a higher postage charges apply. Please note that these aerosol spray canisters cannot be shipped to destinations outside of the United Kingdom. .
