This colourful black and yellow steam engine model is molded in color and has plated parts. The angled pistons and valve gear move realistically and the train includes a tender with a water barrel, and a strip of track complete with cross.

Glue and paints are required to assemble and complete the model (not included)

Designed for a competition to create a locomotive weighing less than six tons and pull 20 tons at 10 mph, the Stephenson Rocket won handily and was put into production for the Liverpool & Manchester Railroad. They were the first passenger trains in the world.
