Modelled on the signal box at Highley, SVR this is a typical GWR brick base and wood top design box. The design originating with signalling contractors Mackenzie & Holland, making this box ideal for freelance layouts set anywhere in the country.

Quick to build from pre-cast concrete sections these goods stores were put up in station yards to provide increased covered storage capacity. Many were let to traders and a few can still be found today.

This kit is a little more complex than many other Ratio buildings, needing care to assemble all of the correct parts to the correct panels. Just like the prototypes there are several possible floorplans, larger buildings needing the parts of a second kit.

This type of basic servicing depot would be found at many branchline engine sheds, serving the needs of the branch engine, and at large yards or goods depots, replenishing the shunting engines.

Heavy-lift hoist based on the depot hoist at Plymouth Laira shed. Similar hoists were installed at most major GWR locomotive sheds, sllowing wheels and axleboxes to be removed for attention.
