For seven years now the Subaru Impreza has been proving its mettle in the World Rally Championship. Subject to continuous development, in the 2004 season, from the third race onwards it has been running at a new stage of its evolution. In accordance with the rules this agile world championship car delivers 300 bhp. The Subaru is driven by Peter Solberg, the Norwegian runner-up to the world champion in 2002 and world champion in 2003. As expected, he is again aiming for the title. Solberg shows equal mastery on both gravel and asphalt surfaces. He is supported by his Welsh co-driver Phil Mills, who has been in the WRC for 10 years and has been Solberg's team-mate since 1999. This successful duo took first place in the New Zealand Rally.
