Bachmann OO 37-090 SR 7 Plank End Door Wagon SR Brown

An excellent model of the classic 7-plank open coal wagon painted in the SR goods brown livery.

While the Southern is not well known for its coal traffic several thousands of tons per year were raised from pits in the Kent coal field for which the Southern needed a fleet of these basic, stocky coal wagons. The additon of the end door allowed the wagons to be emptied quickly into power station bunkers of ships' holds by tipping.
