Dapol OO GWR Fruit Van (B504A)

The GWR cattle wagons were equiped with vacuum train brakes, allowing them to be run in fast trains. These wagons were often throughly cleansed ready for use on the express fruit and vegetable trains from the South West during the annual harvest.

This model of the GWR cattle wagon shows further modifications made to a substantial number of vehicles with van style doors and planked-over upper panels, converting these wagons more permanently into fruit vans.
