Bachmann 33-310 00 Gauge GWR standard long-wheelbase 20-Ton 'Toad' goods train brake van lettered for Old Oak Common depot, London. Weathered finish.
The GWR had developed their goods guards' brake vans into this long-wheelbase single veranda design before WW1 and, other than detail and internal constructional changes, the appearance remained unchanged through to nationalisation.
This model is painted in the GWRs standard goods dark grey livery with the post 1936 small style of lettering and a weathered finish.
Many GWR brake vans were allocated to specific locations or duties and this model is lettered for the GWRs' Old Oak Common locomotive and coach depot in London. Goods trains from here connected many small goods depots across London with some trains running via the Metropolitan Railway.
