A good model of the 21-ton steel bodied open coal wagon, first built in the mid-1930's and later adopted as a standard type by British Railways. This model conveys coal for the West Midland Electricity Authority to supply power station boilers. Normally several of these wagons would have been seen in one train, however the authroities' wagons would also have been used to convey any other supplies they required, from coal to electrical cabling.
