Dapol Lionheart Trains O LHT326 Cannop 7 Plank Open Wagon
Lionheart Trains O Gauge Cannop Colliery RCH 7 Plank Open Coal Wagon. A detailed ready to run O gauge model of a Cannop Colliery 7 plank open wagon number 209. Finished in plain blackwith white lettering the wagon is marked for return to the colliery sidings at Speach House Road in the Forest of Dean, served by the GW & LMS jointly operated former Severn and Wye line. This was an advantageous location for the colliery company, giving access to both the GWR Gloucester to Newport line through Lydney and the LMS Bristol-Gloucester-Birmingham route via the Severn Bridge and Sharpness. Lionheart wagons are based on standard wagons built by the Gloucester RCW to the 1923 RCH specifications with outside bracing. This model is a 7 plank wagon with side and end doors, a type commonly operated by collieries as the wagons could be tipped directly into ships' holds or used for deliveries to rail-served customers.
