Bachmanns' BR Mk.1 coach models are the best models of these key coaches produced to date. Attention to detail including producing a range of different coach types with wire end handrails and water filler pipes allows a complete train to be faithfully recreated.

This model is the corridor composite coach, a coach containing compartments for first and second/standard class passengers, painted in the Southern region green livery, adopted to match the colours of the electric multiple unit trains. Composite coaches were used to provide an appropriate number of first class seats on short cross-country trains and for sections of trains to the West Country, where one train would leave London and portions would be uncoupled en-route to provide for direct service to several destinations.
