This agile and fast spaceship is used by the Naboo space battle corps. Armed with twin laser cannon and proton torpedoes, despite its unprepossessing appearance, it is a respectable fighter, although it is primarily used for patrol and escort duties. The design was created by Naboo engineers. The ship has its own hyper-space-drive. For navigation support and minor repairs the Droids who are accommodated behind the cockpit are used. The unusual shape can be explained by the focus on minimum noise and emissions when flying in the atmosphere of the home planet. Anakin Skywalker operated the Naboo fighter in episode I on the control ship of the Droid troops and ended the conflict on Naboo with the destruction of the large space station.
