This extremely popular single-seat Starfighter is used in large numbers by the Jedi Orders in the time of the galactic Republic. The weak armament is explained, on the one hand, by the confidence of the Jedi in their own ability to avoid conflict and, on the other, by the small size of the ship that does not have its own hyper-space-drive. For longer distances therefore a separate ring with drive units is added. The red paint indicates that this is a personal ship and generally points to the diplomatic status of the Jedi, whereas the models with green markings are available to all the Jedis. This very light, short fighter is very well protected against enemy fire and carries two concealed laser cannon. Its shape simplifies the erection and maintenance of the protective shield and the large cupola has the advantage of providing a panoramic view.
