The single seat V-19 Torrent Starfighter proved its superior characteristics as an attacker for the first time during the Battle of Geonosis. It excelled thanks to its remarkable manoeuvrability, its superior versatility and high speed in normal space. Because of its successes in the Battle, the V-19 was quickly built in greater numbers in order to be added to the arsenal of the Republican Army as fast as possible.
