Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 Sexton II Self Propelled Gun Kit with CDP Tracks 6793

Dragon's 6793 1/35th Scale Plastic of the Canadian built Sexton II Self Propelled Gun. The Sexton II was a WWII self-propelled gun (SPG) built in Canada by the Montreal Locomotive Works. The Sexton mounted the famed British 25-pdr howitzer. The Sexton appeared in 1943 and early examples of the SPG (125 vehicles) were based on the Ram chassis. However, the majority used the Grizzly (Canadian M4A1 Sherman) chassis. These were known as the Sexton Mk. II and approximately 2,000 vehicles were manufactured for use by Canadian, British and other Commonwealth armies. This 25.86-tonne SPG was first used in Italy, and they were also widely used in France and Western Europe in the wake of the Normandy landings. The SPG operated with a crew of six men. Dragon previously produced a plastic kit of the Sexton II (Item No.6760) but this latest kit offers some important variations. The most notable difference about this model is that it?s a Late-Production Sexton II. As such it features brand new sprocket wheels and the new DS track links to match the running gear. The Grizzly chassis is accurately depicted with the high-quality parts. The main armament makes use of Dragon?s fantastic 25-pdr Field Gun kit. As with previous Priest and Sexton II kits, this new SPG is an answer to many modelers? prayers!

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 Cyberhobby Russian SA-9 Gaskin Kit 9138

SA-9 ?Gaskin? is the NATO reporting name for the Soviet 9K31 Strela-1 short-range surface-to-air missile (SAM) system. The SAM containing two pairs of ready-to-launch missiles is mounted on a BRDM-2 chassis. The 9K31 was accepted into Soviet service in 1968, and it widely equipped short-range air defense batteries of motor rifle and tank regiments. The vehicle was designed to support the tracked ZSU-23-4 that suffered from a limited range. Each missile weighs 32kg (including the 2.6kg warhead) and has a maximum operational range of 4.2km. The 7.7-ton vehicle required a crew of two ? the commander and driver. In transit, the missile boxes fold down to reduce the vehicle?s overall height. The Soviet Union was not its only user, for it was widely deployed in the Warsaw Pact as well as a host of other Soviet-aligned nations.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 Pz.Kpfw.265 Kleiner Panzerbefehlwagen 6222

The Kleiner Panzerbefehlswagen is a variant of the German Panzer 1. The Panzer I was a tank produced by Nazi Germany in the 1930s, intended as a training tank, but also used extensively in the Spanish Civil War and early World War II. It served as the basis for the Pzkpfw II; other vehicles based on the chassis included self-propelled guns and antiaircraft artillery.

The Kleiner Panzerbefehlswagen (SdKfz 265) was a Command tank, with fixed 14.5 mm armoured superstructure, single machinegun and extra radios for control of armoured operations. 190 to 200 were converted from mainly Ausf B, some Ausf A Panzer 1's.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 Marder II Mid Production German WW2 SPG Plastic Kit 6423

Dragon's new 1/35 scale kit is a superb rendition of a Mid-Production variant, and it perfectly complements the Marder II released earlier. The fighting-compartment interior has been rearranged to reflect this production period, as has the on-vehicle tool arrangement. Brand new toolings for this kit include the left and right sides of the fighting compartment armor. The fine box-top illustration depicts iconic markings from an actual vehicle, and these are reproduced by Cartofgraf as high-quality decals. To suit this same specific vehicle, Dragon has produced a brand new wooden case that sits on the right-hand fender. Far more effective than a towed anti-tank gun, this Marder II is a fine exponent of Dragon's engineering expertise

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 Sd.Kfz.161/4 2cm Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind 6540

A prototype Flakpanzer IV ?Wirbelwind? (which translates as ?Whirlwind? in English) appeared in May 1944, in response to the ever-growing threat and air superiority of Allied aircraft. The original concept of the Wirbelwind is credited to Karl Wilhelm Krause of the 12th ?Hitler Jugend? Panzer Division, who suggested mounting a quadruple-barreled 2cm Flakvierling 38 L/112.5 cannon on a Panzer IV chassis. The Wirbelwind had the four 20mm cannons mounted in an open-topped nine-sided turret. Sources differ as to how many Wirbelwinds were produced ? either 87 or 105 between May and September of 1944 ? but there were never enough to ward off the marauding Allied fighter-bombers.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 German SdKfz10/5 with Armored Cab and 2cm Flak 38 6677

Around 14,000 Sd.Kfz.10 halftracks were built from 1938-45. Several specialist vehicles were based on this halftrack design, among them the Sd.Kfz.10/5. This vehicle had a platform on the rear for carrying an anti-aircraft 2cm FlaK 38 cannon. The purpose-built platform had fold-down sides and rear to give the crew more workspace when in combat. The weapon system was used by both the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe, and of course the weapon could be equally effective against ground targets. In 1943, the Luftwaffe ordered 293 sets of Behelfspanzerung (armor plates) to protect its Sd.Kfz.10/5 antiaircraft halftracks.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 S.IG.33 auf Fgst.Pz.Kpfw 111 German WW2 Mobile Howitzer 6713

The sIG33 auf Fgst.Pz.Kpfw.III(Sfl.) was a heavy infantry gun mounted on a StuG.III chassis. It?s also the subject of Dragon?s newest 1/35 scale kit release. Fortunately, modelers will find this kit much easier to assemble than it is to say or spell its name! The Sturm-Infanteriegeschu"tz 33B featured a 15cm sIG33/1 gun in its boxy superstructure. Just 24 of these 21-tonne weapons were produced by Alkett from December 1941 onwards. They utilized a StuG.III Ausf.E or F/8 chassis. Five crewmen operated this self-propelled gun that was used exclusively on the Eastern Front. Half fought in the bloody Battle of Stalingrad from October 1942 onwards, where their heavy guns could effectively demolish buildings in the bitter urban combat. The remaining vehicles didn?t reach Stalingrad because the German 6th Army was encircled by that time, so instead they deployed with the 23rd Panzer Division.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 German Flakpanzer IV Ausf G w Zimmerit 6746

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 German Flakpanzer IV Ausf G w Zimmerit 6746
With Allied aircraft increasingly dominating the skies over Europe as WWII progressed, there was a need for more effective self-propelled antiaircraft guns. One solution was the Flakpanzer IV/3.7cm Flak, a vehicle nicknamed Ostwind, or ?East Wind? by the Germans. In August 1944 an order was placed for 100 Ostwind vehicles, with this vehicle featuring a more capable 3.7cm FlaK43 cannon mounted inside a hexagonal turret. The turret was open-topped to allow fumes to dissipate. The turret rotated 360, and the quick-firing gun could be used with equal devastation against both air and ground targets. A crew of six operated the 25-tonne Ostwind, and a total of 43 such weapons were produced mostly on rebuilt Panzer IV tank chassis.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 British Sexton 25 Pounder Self -Propelled Howitzer Plastic Kit 6760

.Dragon has previously released a splendid 1/35 scale kit of the Priest self-propelled gun (SPG) as used by the US Army and also by the British Army in the North African campaign. Now, its British counterpart has been announced. Called the Sexton, this SPG was built in Canada by the Montreal Locomotive Works and mounted the famed British 25-pdr howitzer. The Sexton appeared in 1943 and replaced the US-built M7 Priest that featured a 105mm gun. It?s the Sexton II that?s depicted in this kit. This 25.86-tonne SPG was first used in Italy by the 8th Army, and was also widely used in France and Western Europe. It operated with a crew of six men.

Dragon?s 6760 1/35th scale plastic kit of the Sexton II, while it bears a striking similarity to the M7 Priest, is a brand new kit. It features a brand new fighting compartment, new armour plates, a new engine deck and an all-new interior. Obviously, the Dragon design team went right back to basics to create this kit. The main armament makes use of the 25-pdr Field Gun kit that Dragon introduced before, although this had to be modified to allow for the special mount that allowed its installation. The muzzle brake is made from scratch too. Furthermore, the chassis is starkly different to that used on the Priest. The bogies and road wheels stem from the high-quality Sherman kits that Dragon is renowned for. (Paints, glue & brushes will be required to complete the kit but are not included)

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 Cyber-hobby Flammpanzer III Pz.Kpfw.111 variant with Set of Magic Tracks & a Set of 4 Sturmpionier Figures KURSK 1943 9113

The new orange box is a 1/35 scale combination set of a Flammpanzer III and a set of German Sturmpionier figures. The Flammpanzer III was a variant of the famous Pz.Kpfw.III tank, with 100 Panzer III tanks being converted into flamethrowers between February and April of 1943. The flamethrower was a 14mm Flammenwerfer with a maximum range of 60m, supported by two MG34 machineguns for self-defence. This value-added kit comes equipped with 40cm Magic Tracks, and it will combine well with the four combat engineers offered in the super-value pack. With so much content in just one box, orange is definitely the colour of value! .

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 US Army M48A3 Mod.B Tank 3544

Dragon?s 1/35 scale WWII plastic kits are legendary worldwide in terms of the range?s scope, accuracy and technical quality. Dragon is now transferring that expertise to more modern subjects, and a first recipient is the famous M48 Patton medium tank. The M48 was a development of the M47, and it performed an interim role until the arrival of the M60 main battle tank. The M48 was the primary tank of the US Army & US Marine Corps (USMC) during the vicious Vietnam War. The new kit represents the M48A3 variant, which the army accepted into service in February 1963 and the USMC the following year.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 US Army M103A1 Black Label Kit 3548

What is Black Label? It?s a whole new line being marketed independently of Dragon or Cyber-Hobby kits. The result will be reduced prices for big items in this new line.

The first Black Label item is the 65-ton M103 Heavy Tank that served with the US Army and US Marine Corps (USMC) during the height of the Cold War from 1957-1974. Its whole design was predicated on the need to counter Soviet heavy tanks, and thus it boasted a rifled 120mm M58 cannon for long-distance engagements. This gun fired a separate-loading round, which required two loaders, thus giving five men in the crew. The armor was up to 180mm thick on the front of the turret. Some 300 T43E1 tanks were built, of which 219 were later converted to M103A1 standard, and 153 rebuilt into M103A2 s.

Dragon?s kit is a brand new item and practically every part in the cram-packed box is a new tooling. The only exception is the wheels, which are derived from a previous release. The irregular form of the turret is accurately shaped, and it has just the right degree of a subtle cast texture. The cast texture on the hull is also beautifully recreated. This tank has been produced with modeling convenience in mind too, with such features as easy-fitting DS tracks. With Dragon?s know how and technological skills from its WWII range being applied to this more modern subject, this M103A1 Heavy Tank sets high standards. It?s truly a heavyweight in modern armor kits!

Dragon?s 1/35 scale WWII plastic kits are legendary worldwide in terms of the range?s scope, accuracy and technical quality. Utilizing that expertise and experience, a brand new line called Black Label is going to offer some exciting subjects to eager modelers. What is Black Label? It?s a whole new line being marketed independently of Dragon or Cyber-Hobby kits. The result will be reduced prices for big items in this new line.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 10.5 Dicker Max Self Propelled Gun Kit German WW2 6357

In terms of rarities, they don t come much more unique than Germany s Dicker Max. The catchy sounding name actually translates as stout Max , this being the name given to the prototypical tank destroyer mounting a long-barreled 10.5cm K18 gun. Only two vehicles were produced in 1941, both issued to the 521st Panzerj ger Detachment for a proposed attack on Gibraltar. When this never eventuated, they were transferred to the 3rd Panzer Division and saw combat on the Eastern Front in 1941.

This 1/35 scale model replicates the original vehicle as accurately as possible using all available references. Since this is an open-topped vehicle, no effort was spared in fitting out the interior of the fighting compartment with full detail. To realize this kit, slide molds were frequently employed to give maximum detail and yet keep assembly for modelers as simple as possible.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 Panzerkampwagon T34-747r Tank kit 6449

The T-34, the mainstay tank of the Red Army during WWII, has been described as the most important weapon to help Russia win the war in the East. In the 1942 time period, the STZ factory in Stalingrad produced T-34 tanks that had such characteristics as steel road wheels, a ?chisel? turret mantlet and interlocking hull plates. The T-34 tank was so respected that the Wehrmacht, desperate for more armored vehicles, even enlisted it into German service where it was known as the Pz.Kpfw.T-34-747(r). Cyber-Hobby?s White Box previously released a 1/35 scale kit of such a captured T-34 from the STZ factory, but now Dragon is releasing a face-lifted kit that will be far more accessible to mainstream modelers. One feature of this kit is the inclusion of a genuine German turret bin installed on the turret rear! German crewmen found it necessary to do so because of the limited space available in the two-man turret. Dragon has done a fine job of replicating in 1/35 scale 6449 in a plastic the characteristics peculiar to this T-34-747(r) STZ Mod.1942 type of tank. Of course, a feature is the aforementioned so-called ?Rommelkist? turret bin. This model is simply bulging with detail, and there are photo-etched parts to represent fine elements. There are numerous slide-molded parts and the tank is shod in Magic Tracks that assemble quickly and easily. To finish it off, the box includes an interesting set of decals from Cartograf, including markings for 5.Panzer-Division, a unit that utilized this Russian tank. Ambitious modelers are now able to assemble a German Russian tank directly from the box!

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 German 7.5cm Pak 40/4 Auf RSO mit Allwetterverdeck Kit 6679

The acronym RSO stands for Raupenschlepper Ost, which translates as ?Caterpillar Tractor East?. The terrible muddy and icy conditions experienced on the Eastern Front convinced Germany it needed a highly mobile, tracked vehicle. Steyr proposed the RSO and it immediately became popular thanks to its mobility and reliability. In all, about 23,000 RSOs were produced by a range of manufacturers. The original version had a pressed-steel cab and truck-style cargo bed. Later it was decided to convert some into an anti-tank role by mounting the 75mm PaK 40/4 gun on the rear and by lightly armoring the driver?s compartment. Thus the variant portrayed in Dragon?s newest release was born.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 IJA Type 95 light Tank Ha-Go Early Pro Tank kit 6767

The kit depicts an Early-Production variant and it's based on actual measurements from real tanks. Although it's a small vehicle, Dragon's 1/35 scale kit is brimming with detail, something facilitated by the widespread use of slide molds. In fact, every single sprue in the kit employs slide molds, which is an astounding achievement! For example, the turret is of single-piece construction, with the multi-directional slide mold allowing details such as rivets to be rendered. The commander's cupola is a similar story. The one piece lower hull has the correct armor panels and bolts on it. The upper hull is also one piece, and the gun barrel has a hollow end. The road wheels, idlers, sprockets and return rollers are slide-molded too. The DS slide-molded track links are accurately replicated in miniature so as to incorporate side details. This is an extremely exciting subject from Dragon, and because the Ha-Go was used in such diverse locations, modelers can produce any scenario such as jungle-clad terrain or a Pacific island!

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 German Marder II Sd.Kfz.131 Panzerjager II Fur Pak40/2 6769

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 German Marder II Sd.Kfz.131 Panzerjager II Fur Pak40/2 6769
Early in the war there was an urgent need for self-propelled anti-tank platforms, especially when the Wehrmacht was confronted by well-armored enemy vehicles such as the T-34 and KV-I during the invasion of Russia. Many hybrid designs were converted from obsolete tank chassis. The Marder II was a case in point, as it was based on a Panzer II chassis. The Mid-Production version of the Marder II (Sd.Kfz.131) was armed with 7.5cm PaK 40. Some 576 Marder IIs were produced from June 1942 till June 1943, and they fought primarily on the Eastern Front. Dragon?s new 1/35 scale kit is a superb rendition of a Early-Production variant, and it perfectly complements the Marder II family in Dragon line-up. New tooling for this kit include the spare track rack, upper hull, vision port on starboard side and the ammo lockers. Cartograf decal are included.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 German Pz.Kpfw.III 5cm T Ausf G Tank Kit 6773

After German forces had swept across Western Europe as undisputed champion in 1940, the lone resistance came from the British Isles. It was planned that Germany would conduct an amphibious invasion of Great Britain under the codename Operation Sea Lion, and to this end a number of Panzer IIIs were especially converted into diving tanks. These were known as the Tauchpanzer III, and they had the ability to drive along the seafloor totally submerged thanks to a breathing apparatus. During the planned invasion, they would have been lowered from ships onto the seafloor near the coast and they could then drive onto the shore. In the end these tanks were not used to cross the English Channel as it was decided to bring Britain to its knees via the Luftwaffe instead.

Dragon introduced an exciting new 1/35 scale Type 95 ?Ha-Go? Early Production in 2012 and it was an instant hit. Now one more family gem is coming this year. This time it?s a Hokuman version, with ?Hokuman? being the Japanese term for northern China. This Type 95 light tank was used in northern China in combat against Soviet forces. Weighing just 7.4 tonnes, the ?Ha-Go? was designed primarily as an infantry support weapon. Indeed, it was the most common light tank used by the IJA, with about 2,300 units manufactured. It had a crew of three, and the main armament was a Type 94 37mm gun. Its maximum speed was 45km/h.

Dragon (Plastics) 1?35 Sd.Kfz 182 King Tiger Porsche Turret With Zimmerit 6848

Superb new kit of the feared Tiger of WW2 with realistically reproduced zimmeritt and slide molded barrel details.

This is a 2-in-1 kit because the tank comes with something special in the box. That special addition is a three-legged crane that can be installed on the turret, and which was used for such tasks as removing the engine or transmission. The chains for the pulleys of the jib crane are made from photo-etched metal for maximum realism. Thus, modelers can depict this tank as ready for combat, or as undergoing maintenance. Of course, the hull and turret have finely crafted Zimmerit already pre-molded on, meaning that modelers don?t need to engage in the long and messy process of applying the sculpted layer with putty. No one does Zimmerit better than Dragon, with the texture realistically crafted to scale. This 2-in-1 Kingtiger kit will have viewers craning their necks in fascination!

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 German Tiger 1 Ausf.H2 7.5cm KwK 42 6683
As the very first 1/35 scale Tiger H2 to appear in a Dragon box, viewers could be forgiven for thinking the packers has accidentally mixed a Panther turret with a Tiger I hull/chassis! In fact, the kit does utilize Dragon?s famous Tiger I hull, which has benefitted from years of engineering refinement in the manufacturer?s extensive Tiger family. Befitting this Henschel H2 subject, the turret is a brand new creation and it features an appropriate 75mm KwK.42 cannon. To ease assembly, the tank includes convenient elements such as DS tracks, and parts are accurately dimensioned and detailed. Although the Tiger H2 never saw production, it was a significant link in the Tiger?s family tree. Dragon now eases the type?s availability to modelers, and it will make a welcome addition to any Tiger collection?s pedigree.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 Mim-104B Patriot Launcher With Hemmitt Plastic Kit 3558

This 1/35 scale Black Label model kit is fantastic in both its ambition and its execution, with the completed model impressive in its size and detail. Dragon?s engineers have created an extremely accurate depiction of this massive combination of truck, trailer and missile launcher. Indeed, modelers can render this model in either transport configuration or in firing mode, making it ideal for a Gulf War diorama, for example. The M901 Launching Station can be posed with the missiles elevated and/or rotated for firing at the correct 38? angle, and with the trailer stabilizers extended. Integral components such as the antenna and generator are all included too, while the vehicle tires are made from DS for extra realism. Detail such as the tread plate pattern is particularly well done. For modelers willing to launch into something absolutely stunning, this Patriot PAC-1 combination is simply unbeatable!

The most famous German antitank weapon of WWII was the ?eighty-eight?, an 8.8cm cannon that appeared in several guises (for instance, FlaK 18, FlaK 36 or FlaK 37). This deadly Flugabwehr-Kanone was originally designed as an antiaircraft weapon, but it performed admirably in the ground role as well, to the great detriment of Allied tank crews. The 8.8cm gun was built in large numbers, and it proved to be a successful design in both antiaircraft and antitank roles.

Dragon (Plastics) 1/35 King Tiger Henschel Turret with Zimmerit plastic kit 6840

What sets this 1/35 scale kit apart is the pre-injected Zimmerit coating on the upper hull and turret. Of course, the kit perfectly mimics the original Kingtigers of s.Pz.Abt.505 in that there are rectangles on the turret where there is no Zimmerit to allow the unit insignia to be painted on. No one does Zimmerit better than Dragon, with the texture carefully and realistically crafted to scale. Zimmerit is a unique characteristic on many German tanks, and instead of having to mess and fiddle around with putty, many modelers have stated a preference for having it pre-molded on their kits. Of course, the famous insignia is included as high-quality decals. As a special bonus, Dragon also placed in the box a second turret with a completely normal Zimmerit coating, thus giving modelers even more choices to build a regular Kingtiger. This kit will have modelers charging down to their model shops to see and buy it for themselves!
