This new 1/35 scale kit is a 251/17 Ausf. C half-track, a vehicle boasting a 2cm Flak 38 cannon. The gun was mounted to have all-round traverse, though the original conversion necessitated considerable rebuilding of the superstructure. Dragon Models has design and produce a completely new fighting compartment unique to this variant of half-track. Also, parts are newly tooled specifically for this kit, meaning there is no need for modelers to cut and rework the vehicle in order to produce a 251/17. Though the details and configuration are complex, clever engineering makes assembly a breeze. The kit obviously incorporates Dragon’s highly accurate 2cm Flak 38 gun, which has been released previously. The overall result is a kit that is very accurate, and offers modelers an even wider scope of Sd.Kfz. 251 vehicles to choose from and build.
