The back EMF control used on this decoder will give superb results at slow speed when correctly set. The default CV values are suitable for many motors, however there may be instability in motor performance when the back EMF control is not matched to the requirements of the motor. If this is found to be the case CVs 53 to 55 should be adjusted to alter the back EMF settings to suit the motor suggested alternative settings to try are CV54=10 and CV55=62. In case of difficulty contact Bachmann Europe for more advice.

Maximum motor output 900mA continuous.
Function outputs maximum 500mA total, maximum 250mA on one output. All function controls are configurable.
Function button controlled shunting speed, halves the maximum speed when enabled.

While the default back EMF settings are suitable for many locomotives and appear to work fine with all manufacturers' diesel locomotive models some tuning may be necessary with some steam locomotive models. We advise testing all decoder installations on a controlled section of track with stop blocks arranged to prevent a runaway locomotive from falling off the end.
