Corgi 1/76 MKI Metrobus London Transport (OM45102)
The MCW Metrobus was introduced in 1978 as a competitor to Leylands Titan.It used the infamous Gardiner 6LXB engine coupled to a Voith automatic transmission, though later models used Rolls Royce Eagle and Cummins L10 engines.The majority of the build was sold as complete buses but Alexander and Northern Counties also bodied the chasis.London Transport was a major customer with over 1400 placed in service, the other major user was West Midlands with over 1100
