27Mhz & 40Mhz frequency radio sets are the UK standard for Radio Controlled model Cars and model Boats.

These radios are all digital proportional, allowing for precise positioning of servos and speed controllers. Some come with computerised functions with model memories, allowing use of one transmitter with many models, and for easy setting up. The majority of these sets are supplied on exchangeable frequencies, allowing you to change the frequency by simple plug in "Crystals", where some of the higher end sets have Synthesised transmitters, allowing for scanning for the corresponding receiver.
