The origins of Openshaw Brewery can be traced to 1860 at which time William Wagster ran the Openshaw Bridge Brewery.By 1883 Richard Wright owned the business and it became a registered company.In 1891 the brewery moved to the Victoria Brewery in West Gorton.The Openshaw Brewery along with 125 public houses was taken over by the expanding Hope & Anchor Breweries Ltd. in 1957. The Victoria Brewery was demolished in 1964.

Model length with trailer is approx 26.5cm long. the steam lorry comes with a barrell load and is finished in dark blue, red chassis with gold lettering and piping. The trailer is also finished in the same dark blue and red chassis with gold lettering.The model is supplied with a limited edition certificate.
