Each limited edition model in this section has been selected to celebrate the anniversary of a Great British Tradition - Corgi Diecast models. A maximum of 2006 pieces are being made of each item and each will bear a special 50th Anniversary emblem that will never be produced outside this collection; each model is in unique 50th Anniversay packaging, which includes a numbered certificate, a Corgi Anniversary Booklet and a special memento respective to each ite.

Corgi has selected four Great British Motoring Icons to model as paart of the anniversary range. At the time of its release this Mini was simply known as the Austin Seven Cooper (later to be known as the Mini Cooper). The models are all of the actual vehicles tested at the time by Autocar or Motor magazines and each includes a re-print of their original road test. You can see what the experts thought at the time and compare the model with photographs of the car when it was new.
