In 1983, London Transport celebrated its 50 th Anniversary by decorating four buses in special liveries. Titans T747, M57 and T66 were repainted in the old General livery but RM1983 was repainted all over in gold, the appropriate colour for a Golden Anniversary. It carried no advertising, just the slogan "We`ve been together now for 50 years" on both sides, and the special 50 th Anniversary logo in white. The gold RM1983 entered service on April 30 th at Thornton Heath Garage in the Croydon operating district,and then visited all eight operating districts.until it was repainted red in February 1984.
2911 faithfully reproduces RM1983 on Route 190, exactly as it was as it left Thornton Heath garage on its first day of service.

A superb new large scale model of the MCW Metrobus in Metroline colours. This model has all the features of EFE's 1/24 scale releases, opening doors, working steering and suspension plus a fully detailed interior and realistic engine bay. Four routes are available on the changeable destination blinds, route 16 to Victoria, route 16A to Brent Cross, route 32 to Edgware Station and route 113 to Oxford Circus.

Royal Blue was the brand for the coaches operated by Southern and Western National. Originally all vehicles were operated by the owning companies in their cream and green liveries before being repainted in the Royal Blue colours. HOD120 was an early 1949 vehicle operated by Southern National and based at Swanage in Dorset. Although as Fleet Number 580 it was numerically Royal Blue's first Bedford OB, it was not actually repainted and transferred until May 1955, the first Royal Blue's having been 587 and 590 which had been repainted in June 1953. At the same time as the change in livery, the seating configuration was also changed from 29 seats to 27, although the seat moquette remained unchanged from the original Southern National material.
