Although most of the former Citybus 11m coaches have served on the Megabus network, the arrival of new Neoplan coaches rendered some Olympians surplus to the requirements of the Megabus fleet, and toilets were not needed on these. 13650 initially served in Manchester on MagicBus routes before being transferred to Stagecoach in Warwickshire. 13650 is one of four that entered service on the Green Bus routes. The Green Transport Company runs bus services to schools in the UK using its Dutch-designed “The Green Bus” brand. Four ex-Hong Kong megadeckers are operated by Stagecoach in Warwickshire on behalf of The Green Transport Company, and are based at Leamington depot. Each carrying 94 passengers, the coach-seated, air-conditioned megadeckers have become popular with pupils. They operate throughout Birmingham and the West Midlands on services to and from King Edward VI Five Ways School, and are available for private hire.

The bus itself has a long service history in different fleets and liveries Delivered new to Hong Kong as Citybus 113, this Alexander-bodied 11-metre Leyland Olympian coach was numbered 13640 by Stagecoach when she returned to the country region in 2003 to operate services for Megabus.com. Retired from Megabus.com service in December 2005, 13640 is one of six converted with luggage and cycle racks for the Rail Support Unit operated by Stagecoach South on behalf of sister company South West Trains, whilst still retaining the WC and Air Conditioning. Additionally, the buses are specially painted in South West Trains livery in accordance with the agreement. 13640 can often be seen operating across the SWT rail network during engineering works at weekends or late at night This early version of the 11-metre Alexander coach differs somewhat from its sister vehicles, most evidently by having gasket-glazed windows fitted instead of the more modern-looking bonded type seen on most of the Olympians returned to the country region by Stagecoach  The HK2008 model is limited to 1700 pieces worldwide.

This is UK1024 carrying the Park & Ride livery of Stagecoach Devon .This model represents Stagecoach Devon 17002 (S802 BWC). This bus was originally TA2 in London and is the sister to TA1, the first production Dennis Trident delivered to a UK bus operator After leaving London, 17002 was put into Stagecoach livery and entered service in Torbay for the summer season along with others from the same batch. Following refurbishment, Stagecoach 17002 was one of the 5 ex Leyton Garage London Tridents to be put onto Exeter’s Honiton Road Park & Ride service. Devon Design & Print produced this distinctive Yellow and Blue livery which has been used to brand all three of Exeter’s Park & Ride services. The introduction of these low-floor, larger capacity buses enabled the Honiton Road Park & Ride become one of the fastest growing bus services in the UK in 2005.

The Brunel bus livery was commissioned by Torbay Council to celebrate 200 years since the birth of the Engineer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. The livery was designed by Graphic Design Student Mike Fryers, and applied to this Dennis Trident bus by Torbay Posters. This vehicle has attended special events such as the ‘Brunel official celebration on the Bristol Suspension Bridge in April 2006 and, more recently, the Dartmouth Regatta, parked near Dartmouth Railway Station, built as part of Brunel’s Great Western Railway but which, to this day, has never seen a train.

This model represents Stagecoach in Cambridge 17007 (S807 BWC).In a campaign to fight Breast Cancer in Cambridgeshire, supported jointly by Cambridgeshire County Council, Cancer Research UK and Stagecoach, Cancer Research UK has benefited from funds raised on the Park & Ride buses operated by Stagecoach in Cambridge during October 2006. On each Tuesday that month Stagecoach donated 50% of the Park & Ride return bus fares, of £2 or £1.50, to the campaign fund and, to highlight the campaign even further, the company repainted one of its fleet of Park & Ride buses into a pink version of the Park & Ride livery. The chosen bus was former Stagecoach London Dennis Trident/Alexander ALX400 17007 and this carries slogans “Think Pink”, “Let’s fight breast cancer in Cambridgeshire” and “Pink & Ride” to highlight the campaign beyond the initial stages.

Brighton and hove 247 (X347 YGU) is one of a pair of Mini Pointer Darts purchased in 2003from Go-Ahead sister company Metrobus of Orpington to whom it was new in 2000.The 2 MODs are allocated to service 56 from Knoll Estate to Patcham on which they operate an hourly service.Although some of the routes passes narrow,residential streets it also serves important passenger objectives such as Hollingbury Asda superstore,Brighton Station,Old Steine and Churchill Square.These MPDs have good manoeuvrability within the residential areas and offer easy access for passengers with poor mobility or who are burdened with shopping.

Plymouth Citybus MPD 205 was introduced into the fleet in 2003, specifically for use on the route 25A & 25B Park and Ride services that the Company provided on behalf of Plymouth City Council.These routes linked the Park and Ride site at Milehouse with the Railway Station, City Centre and the historic Barbican and Hoe areas, all of which attract large numbers of visitors from around the world. These vehicles carried route branding and were painted in a dedicated livery of green and yellow in order to emphasis their importance to the public transport scene in the City.

Mercedes-Benz Citaro carries Oxford Park & Ride colours. It represents fleet number 823 (MB52 OXF) of Oxford Bus Company. It is one of six Mercedes-Benz Citaros to enter service in December 2002, launching the Water Eaton Park & Ride, to the north of the city. This is the 5th Park & Ride facility in Oxford, the others also operated by Oxford Bus Company, but using Alexander bodied-Dennis Tridents. These buses were the first Citaros in the Oxford fleet and, following theirsuccess, were joined by 11 further vehicles a year later, these being to single door specification, and painted red.

This Mercedes Citaro is one of eight such vehicles that were delivered to this municipal operator in autumn 2005.They adorn the revised Citybus livery and logo and have been put to work on the important City Centre Plympton Services 21 and 51 where these striking buses are helping to entice "die hard " motorists from their cars and onto public transport.The buses carry up to 66 passengers and were supplied by Evobus which is a Mercedes Benz UK Division

In the continued drive to improve the quality of bus services in the city ofCoventry, Travel Coventry introduced a fleet of 10 easy access ‘bendi buses’ in 2003. The Citaros operate on one of Travel Coventry’s primary bus routes, the 27 which runs between Coventry Railway Station and the city’s Walsgrave Hospital. The vehicles are fitted with environmentally friendly Euro III engines and an eye-catching livery was designed to highlight the “longer than average” bus.

The bus is serving Route 73 heading for Seven Sisters Station When the Routemaster allocation on Route 73 was withdrawn in September 2004, the replacement was the Mercedes-Benz Citaro G, articulated bus. The new articulated buses work a slightly truncated route between Victoria Station and Seven Sisters Station from a new base at Northumberland.

Since the Eden Project opened in 2001 it has welcomed over 8 million people and they all have to be driven around the huge site quickly, comfortably and in an environmentally friendly manner by Mercedes-Benz Citaro G buses. The Eden Project is owned by the Eden Trust. It is more than just a green theme park. Eden is about connecting plants, people and places. It is a living demonstration of regeneration and aims to reconnect people with their environments locally and globally. The bus is decorated with all icons of the park, including the Humid Tropics Biome, plants, flowers, etc. CN02 EDN is recreated as running on route 5, from the Eden Project to the Park & Ride stops in the Apple, Banana, Lime, Plum, Strawberry, Melon, Cherry, Lemon and Mango zones. The light orange and grey paint scheme is decorated with photographs from around the eden project complex and a representation of the eden projects huge and distictive environment domes which permit artificial tropical conditions to be maintained with minimal energy consumption.

Metroline is part of the Singapore based ComfortDelgro group and operates, together with its Armchair and Thorpes subsidiaries, nearly 1200 buses in North, North West, West and Central London employing nearly 4000 staff. TE681 is one of a batch of 28 10.1metre Dennis Tridents with the striking new Enviro400 bodywork delivered to Metroline in the winter of 2005/6. Metroline was the first London bus company to place an order for vehicles to this brand new design. One of the main advantages of the new lower deck layout was an increase in the number of seats available. The buses are mainly used on the high profile Central London Route 24 running between Hampstead Heath and Pimlico.

This bus represents fleet number 42 (YN54 AOB) that was new in 2004. The Scania OmniCity was first introduced to Newport Transport Limited in 2002 which now has eighteen of them in full operation. Newport Transport is owned by Newport City Council and the majority of the bus services run by the company are in and around Newport, South Wales. Part of the Omni range, the Scania OmniCity places high emphasis on driver and passenger comfort and is equipped with air suspension for superb ride comfort and effective sound insulation of the floor together with curved side windows ensure that the noise level inside the bus is kept at pleasant level. There are 42 seats plus space for wheelchairs and the flat floor is virtually free from obstructing platforms, allowing passengers to move quickly and conveniently through the entire bus. The boarding and exit heights, although already low, can be further lowered by the kneeling function.

The ZIP Bus Priority corridor is part of Hampshire County Council’s Local Transport Plan 2001-2006. Bus route 41 has been branded ‘ZIP’ with the logo used on bus stops and shelters on the route between Portsdown Hill, on the northern outskirts of Portsmouth and the village of Clanfield. The improvements to public transport along the A3 trunk road are intended to make an attractive alternative to the car. As part of the improvement, the bus operator First Hampshire & Dorset Ltd purchased a new fleet of buses complete with white, purple and lime green ZIP livery. Since February 2005, the branded Scania OmniCity buses have been operating a frequent daytime service between Gunwharf Quay and Clanfield. 65023 (YN54 NZX) is one of a batch of twenty with ZIP-branding. Each ZIP branded bus has been named after a wild flower which grows in the local chalk soil of Portsmouth Hill – 65023 bears the name ‘Eyebright’ on a nearside window.

For more than 75 years and over three generations, Stockport-based Bullocks Coaches has developed the experience and professionalism. That now drives their travel and transport services. Bullocks Coaches’ Scania Omni City buses are in service on route 147, which is a high frequency bus, service linking Piccadilly Rail Station with Central Hospital and Universities via Oxford Road in Manchester. The service is branded as “Oxford Road Link” and is supported by Manchester Metropolitan University, The University of Manchester, Royal Northern College of Music & Central Manchester and Manchester Children’s University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Five brand new Jubilee buseswere delivered to Stagecoach Manchester to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth in 2002. These buses carry a special purple and gold adaptation of the increasingly familiar 'new' red, orange and blue livery.During the time of the Commonwealth Games these buses operated a special service between Piccadily and the City of Manchester stadium.Altogether 30 new, fully accessible buses, were placed onto the Stadium Shuttle service during the Commonwealth Games. The service ran at 1 minute intervals during peak times.

Six ALX 400/Denis Trident2 double deck buses entered service with Newport Transport in January 2000.These were the first ever Dennis chassis in the Newport fleet and are used predominately on Service 30 between Newport and Cardiff.The striking graphic design was chosen following a competition among local art students.The design is based on a steel sculpture know as the 'Newport Wave' which stands on a bank of the river Usk in the city centre.It represents Newports links with steel making and the sea.

Mercedes -Benz Citaro depicts UEL's ultr-modern Docklands campus situated close to the River Thames in the East of London. The livery features UEL's student Halls of Residence, which with their colourful circular designs have quickly become a distinctive landmark in the area.The bus one of two dressed in UEL livery, went into service on the Number 25 route between Stratford, home of the 2012 Olympic Games, and Oxford Circus in the heart of London, in June 2005.The second bus features UEL's Stratford Campus.

Since the operation of City Airbus routes ceased a couple years ago, the new lives of the ex-Airbus Volvo Olympian / Alexander Royales have been of interest to British enthusiasts. UK4008 represents fleet number 34200 (V00 273). 34200 was delivered new to London United in the spring of 1996 for London Airbus services. National Express purchased the Airbus operation from London United in 1999 along with the 19 Olympians, which operated it. These vehicles were unusual in having Air Conditioning, only 9 seats in the lower saloon, luggage racks and a wheelchair space & lift. Following the reduction of Airbus services, First Bus acquired many Olympians from the dealer Ensign bus The Olympian / Royale was introduced into First Devon & Cornwall fleet October 2004 and they were dedicated vehicles on the X80 route from Plymouth to Torquay. The vehicles can seat 43 people on the top deck and 22 on the lower deck plus one wheelchair. They are still fitted with air-conditioning, which comes in very useful during the summer months for visitors and residents alike who enjoy the warm climate of the Devon Riviera.

Further to the previous successful release of the Mini Pointer Dart replicas with other operators’ colours, CMNL is releasing a further MPD model. This is UK3023 carrying the eye-catching Tamar Link colours.This Plaxton Pointer-bodied Super Low Floor Dennis Dart was registered on December 1998 and was fully operational on First’s Torpoint service 80 March 2005. The vehicle re-branding was the result of a successful Urban Bus Challenge bid submitted by Plymouth City Council, supported by Cornwall County Council and was jointly funded by the Department for Transport and FirstGroup plc.The bus provides an enhanced service for commuters traveling from South East Cornwall to Plymouth across the Torpoint Ferry. The striking design was the result of extensive market research carried out by First Group and has been well received by regular customers on the service.

Ex-Airbus Volvo Olympian / Alexander Royale represents fleet number 139 (N114 UHP). 139 was delivered new to London United in the autumn of 1995 for London Airbus services. National Express purchased the Airbus operation from London United in1999 along with the 19 Olympians which operated it. These vehicles were unusual in having Air Conditioning, only 9 seats in the lower saloon, luggage racks and a wheelchair space & lift. Following the reduction of Airbus services, South Gloucestershire Bus & Coach acquired many Olympians from the dealer Ensignbus. The University of the West of England in conjunction with South Gloucestershire Bus & Coach Company have been providing affordable transportation for its staff and students from September 2002. The bus route provides, term time only, a direct link to the University campus at Frenchay with its city centre student halls of residence. On average, during each academic year, approximately 80,000 passengers are transported. The buses, an air-conditioned Alexander-bodied Volvo Olympian in thiscase, carry a livery designed by the University Central Graphic DesignStudio, and feature students currently studying at the University.

Articulated buses (or ‘bendy-buses’) were introduced to a number of routes in London in connection with the Mayor of London’s new Congestion Charge, which commenced in February 2003. The first routes to be fully operated by bendy-buses were the Red Arrow services 507 and 521, followed by brand new routes 436 and 453. However, route 18 was the first conventional seven-day-a-week bus service to be converted (in November 2003) and was the first bendy-bus route not to enter the Congestion Charge Zones. Although First was the operator of six bendi-buses on route 207 as part of a six-month experiment into the use of these vehicles in London, route 18 was the company’s first actual bus service to be fully operated by this type. Route 18 was also the first bendy-bus route in London to require a new depot (Willesden Junction), which opened specifically to operate and maintain these vehicles. ECA3021 is one of 32 Mercedes-Benz Citaro O530G 49-seaters, purchased for route 18. However, Willesden Junction depot became responsible for the maintenance of another 27 similar buses following by the conversion of route 207 to bendy-bus in 2005, and it is not uncommon for buses to swap between routes from time to time.
