While the UK market RS3100s were given a graphics package to match their spoilers and alloy wheels, none of them had badges stating them to be an RS3100, in fact they all had boot badges saying ‘Capri GT’. However, the cars exported to Australia had a large RS3100 logo on both spoilers, the front insignia being reversed so it can be read in a driving mirror.

One of only fifty RS3100s exported to Australia, HAP 655 was first registered in New South Wales on the 20th November 1974 and is modelled here in that form. Capri racer and enthusiast John Deery became the car’s tenth owner when he purchased it on the 22nd May 2003 from the estate of Rainor Harde, who had owned three RS3100s including an ex-Bathurst Touring Car. Deery restored the car to its original livery, registered it in Queensland as 310 ORS, and fitted a tuned engine with two Weber DCOE carburettors. Essex-based dealer JD Classics brought the car back to the UK in 2010 and it is now owned by Ford enthusiast Gary Sears from East London.
