A nicely detailed, weathered and camouflaged Panther tank from the Battle of the Bulge
range. This Panther was the spearhead of Kampfgruppe Peiper that penetrated the closest to
their objective only to be knocked out near Stoumont by the 740th Tank Battalion. By the
end of the Battle of the Bulge the unit was just 40 kilometers from its start point
following stiff resistance from isolated American units.

Colonel Jochen Peiper was given the strongest elements of the 1st SS-Panzer Division was the only division commander to make a major breakthrough. His unit became infamous for the Malmedy massacre of American prisoners and Medics. The unit ended the Battle of the Bulge only 40 kilometers from its start point thanks to stiff resistance from scattered U.S. units.
