Corgi 1/50 Sherman M4A3 Tank Tiger Face US Army (CC51008)
Excellent model in the Forgotten Hero's range, commemorating the Korean War, this Sherman is painted with a distinctive Tiger face.
C company of the 89th Tank battalion was commanded by Captain Clarence Clifford Rice and were known as Rice's Red Devils. It was Rice who decided to paint the tanks with the distinctive Tiger face in the hope it would scare the superstitious North Koreans and Chinese. It is not known if this worked but certainly resulted in a very colourful tank.
