An excellent new model of the BR standard design 20-ton guards brake van. These brake vans were seen on the rear of all goods trains until the mid-1970s when most goods trains were operating with automatic brakes on all wagons. A few guards brake vans are still in use, providing a safe riding vehicle for shunters and other railway staff.
