An excellent model of the LNER brake van, later adopted as the BR standard brake van design. The LNER version is equipped with upright vacuum brake pipes and shortened footboards, correct for this batch of vehicles. The model is painted in the LNER bauxite livery with small lettering. This livery was little modified by BR and it is likely these vans were not relettered until major repairs became necessary.
