Navis Neptun 1/1250 T1118 HMS Glorious, 1940, the Aircraft Carrier in the Camouflage Scheme in which she was sunk
Glorious was caught on her way home from the Norwegian Campaign by Scharnhorst & Gneisenau and was sunk despite a gallant counter attack by her escorting destroyers, Ardent & Acasta. The camouflage scheme was similar to the light and dark block pattern also used on HMS Repulse.
Glorious was captained by D'Oyly Hughes, the highly decorated first lieutenant of submarine E14 of WW1.
