Albatros 1/1250 AL107 Port Jackson (III) Port Line 1937 -1967
Re-issued for 2014! Just before the start of WW2, a number of fast freighters were built for Port Line for the Australia/New Zealand run by Swan Hunter on the Tyne. Like most ships on this run, she carried a number of passengers and she was what in later years would have been classed as a combi-liner. Port Jackson survived WW2, being withdrawn from service in the 1960s. Port Jackson has been modelled with wooden decks (pre-war) a post-war version of painted steel decks can be found with AL15, Port Townsville.
