Working out of Hull, Grimsby and Fleetwood, these sturdy ships were designed to fish the banks off Newfoundland, Greenland and Iceland. Following the Cod Wars, these grounds were closed to UK vessels and they were replaced by smaller boats for use in the North Sea.
Mastered by Colin Baxter for the Marine Artist Model range, this ship is based on plans for "Boston Fury". The models are all finished differently, so that several can be used to illustrate a fleet in action! | |
