NREA Spotters Companion 2011 (33rd edition)

The National Railway Enthusiasts Association have been publishing a companion guide to British mainline locomotives, multiple units and passenger coaches for many years.

This 33rd edition contains a full listing of all locomotives, multiple unit trains and passenger coaches registered for use with Network Rail at the begining of March 2011.

A true pocket-sized book the spotters companion A6 sized spotters companion conatins 136 pages and is just 1 centimetre thick, less than half an inch, which can easily carried in a jacket pocket while travelling.

To keep the thickness down information which is readily available elsewhere is left out, paring the spotters companion down to listing the key data for locomotive classes together with locomotive number, operater details, shed allocation, name and any specific detail differences between class members. Data for multiple units covers the unit number, shed allocation and formation car numbers, while the small remaining number of hauled passenger coaches, even including HST stock, are listed with number and shed allocation together with any previous number for rebuilt/renumbered vehicles and detail variation from similar coaches.
