ViTrains is a new company, formed with technicians and engineers from Lima, market leaders in detail and accuracy during the 1980s ViTrains are upgraded to meet today's standards. A centrally mounted motor, with flywheels, drives both bogies through helical gears. A highly detailed and finely moulded bodyshell is completed with flush glazing, lighting, exchangeable couplings and sprung buffers.

All ViTrains locomotives are DCC Ready with 8-pin decoder sockets. Decoder fitting service available.

Another of the EWS passenger service class 37/4 fleet painted in the maroon and gold livery as 37427 carrying it's original Welsh name, Bont Y Bermo.

Powered by a centrally mounted motor with flywheels in a diecast chassis drives two axles on each bogie through helical reduction gears. The bodyshell has been produced from completely new tooling designed by former Lima engineers. This shows every sign of being a top-notch model, combining the latest technology with decades of model manufacturing experience. Accurately reproduced tumblehome, bonnet shaping and end taper are complemented with flush glazing, etched windscreen wipers, etched roof fan grilles and finely moulded bodyside grille and panel detailing.

The popularity of their earlier EWS release has prompted this new model which could be described as a variation on a theme. No 37427 is depicted in the first (1996) version of English, Welsh & Scottish Railway maroon with the ampersand incorporated in the logotype. It also wears the unofficially applied nameplate style sticker bearing the locomotives original name Bont Y Bermo (Barmouth Bridge). This name is currently officially carried by 37402, which is also the subject of a ViTrains model due April 2008.
