One of a select band of locomotives which have carried many different liveries, including this unusual variation on the Railfreight triple-grey scheme with the mid-grey stripe painted in black, complete with EWS beasties logo. The locomotive was repainted to make the it more presentable for the Cardiff - Rymney passenger services and also hauled Bristol - Weymouth workings.

Powered by a centrally mounted motor with flywheels in a diecast chassis drives two axles on each bogie through helical reduction gears. The bodyshell has been produced from completely new tooling designed by former Lima engineers. This shows every sign of being a top-notch model, combining the latest technology with decades of model manufacturing experience. Accurately reproduced tumblehome, bonnet shaping and end taper are complemented with flush glazing, etched windscreen wipers, etched roof fan grilles and finely moulded bodyside grille and panel detailing.
