ViTrains is a new company, formed with technicians and engineers from Lima, market leaders in detail and accuracy during the 1980s ViTrains are upgraded to meet today's standards. A centrally mounted motor, with flywheels, drives both bogies through helical gears. A highly detailed and finely moulded bodyshell is completed with flush glazing, lighting, exchangeable couplings and sprung buffers.

All ViTrains locomotives are DCC Ready with 8-pin decoder sockets. Decoder fitting service available.

New from ViTrains! A replacement chassis for the old Lima 37 bodyshell!

Upgrade your Lima 37s to incorporate the ViTrains diecast 37 chassis, a modern, smooth running mechanism with centrally mounted motor and flywheels driving both bogies.

Ideal for bringing favourite locomotives and superdetailed Lima models up to the same running standards as are expected of new models!

Upgrade in three easy steps

Remove the Lima body by easing the sides outwards to unclip and release the chassis.

Cut off the internal glazing pillars which hold the Lima weight in place.

Fit the bodyshell over the new ViTrains chassis.

Please note that detail parts, particularly the buffers, can easily be broken away. The buffers should not be used as a handle while fitting or removing the chassis.
