The birth of the Corgi Road Collectables Road Transport range dates back to 1985 with the introduction of the Thornycroft and Renault Box Vans. Hauliers of Renown is the flagship of the range and four models are included in the Anniversary range. Each model is accompanied by a keyring featuring both the Corgi 50th and haulier's logo and packed in a special anniversary box.

The ERF ECT Olympic received the largest vote by enthusiasts to be included and carries the livery of the English representative J. R. Adams (Newcastle) Ltd, based at Swalwell, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Scammell Lorries Ltd, of Watford was set up in 1922 and was an off shoot of G.Scammell & Nephew Ltd, the coach building and steam wagon company. In 1955 the Company was absorbed into the Leyland Group.Following the acquistion of Leyland by DAF Trucks in 1987, the plant closed in 1988.

The arrival of a 10 year old 8 tonne Austin lorry at the iddon family home in the village of Croston marked the beginning of K&P lddon Transport Ltd. The Company is noted for its distinctive livery which was designed by master coach painter Colin Drinkhouse, who until his retirement handpainted the vehicles. Each vehicle proudly carries the Lancashire rose emblem.

In 1993, ERF celebrated its Diamond Jubilee with launch of the EC Series- promoted as a 'green truck' with 80% of its cab able to be recycled for future use.The Company was bought by German company MAN, and introduced the 'New Generation' ECS and ECX ranges to replace EC.
