Free-flight aircraft are usually hand launched, release them and they are away. Set them up correctly and they should glide quite a distance in a series of swoops and then drop gently to earth. If you hit a wall you will have to buy another! However they are a bit of a challenge to build and set up - a lot of the fun is in the making. Master it and the skill acquired is priceless.

Magnificent war birds of the 1914 - 1918 era. Fighters made famous by World War 1 aces like Bishop, Richthofen and Guynemer. The last word in scale realism for the super detail fan and a flying aircraft for those who build and fly.
Introduced over the western front in August 1917, the Fokker Triplane soon became the favorite plane of Germany's greatest World War 1 ace, Baron Manfield von Richthofen. After scoring numerous aerial victories, von Richthofen was shot down in a triplane on April 21, 1918 by Captain Roy Brown of the R.A.F.
