WBritain 1/32 Private 29th Regiment of Foot 1768-1770 (44003)
On the evening of March 5th, 1770 following a tense series of stand-offs between the men of
the 29th and growing numbers of Bostonians a mob estimated at 300-400 attacked a small unit
under the command of Captain Thomas Preston. In response, the Redcoats fired into the mob
resulting in the deaths of five people and earned them the nickname of the vein-openers
